Lessen Volcanic National Park Done as the Painted Dunes
The Painted Dunes were known as multicolored pumice fields which were formed by oxidation of volcanic ash. Moreover, they fell out of volcanic eruptions. Besides, they had sculpted the area inside Lassen National Park in Northern California. Note that the ash on Painted Dunes was brightly oxidized due to it fell on lava flows as they were still hot. Along with Fantastic Lava Beds, and other eccentric geological features, they lied near Cinder Cone, a 700-foot tall cinder cone volcano. In short, they were believed that they were last erupted in 1650s.
Cinder Cone was composed of loose scoria i.e. a material. It began as blobs of gas-charged lava thrown into the sky during an eruption. However, it fell as hardened volcanic rock composing cavities created by trapped gas bubbles. As many cinder cones, it was snuffed out while several basalt lavas flowed erupted from its base. Thus, it was creating what has been called the Fantastic Lava Beds.
