As we have known around the world, there are many salt lakes, but the Koyashskoye is likely to have an impressive pink hue. This is because of the presence of microscopic algae which has transferred this lake into the saline water.
Based on Lake Dimension, it is not big, that is, it is around 4 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide. However, it is so shallow associated with an average depth of just only one meter. Within shallowness, there are countless tiny and rocky islands which have been dotted in the lake’s surface.
The salt in the lake might become crystallizing around these rocks and the shores. This might produce crystal stones and the scent of viola. Note that the lake is likely to be not widely known to the tourists. However, the lake is popular among the locals who say the lake’s mud contain healing properties. Now, the lake does belong to Opuksky Nature Reserve being created in 1998.
